About Me

Weston Composite-1.jpg

Hello, my name is Weston Pytel and I am an actor, which you probably already know. But I digress...

Born and raised in Meriden, CT my performance journey started at the age of 10 with a YMCA arts program, Meriden Youth Theatre. MYT sparked my interest in the performing arts and helped set the foundation for my development as the performer I am today.

Since graduating from Nazareth University with my B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, I have performed with numerous regional theaters including: The REV Theatre Company, Cortland Repertory Theatre, Hangar Theatre Company, and Majestic Theater.

Most recently, I played and puppeteered Toto in The Wizard of Oz aboard Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas as well as became a member of Actor's Equity!

In my daily life, I enjoy rewatching episodes of the greatest sitcom of all time (Frasier) with my family, cooking something new in the kitchen, as well as reading lots and lots of books.

I am incredibly grateful for all the family, friends, and mentors who have influenced me as a person and as an artist.

Cowardly Lion,

The Wizard of Oz

"Weston Pytel as the Cowardly Lion is the standout of the show. Half the age of Bert Lahr when he played the role in the MGM classic film, Pytel has a rich clear voice and a sure sense of comic timing, and his bluster in the role, while hinting at Lahr's performance, has a style all its own."
