Directing
During my senior year of college, I directed a student-led production of Stephen Sondheim's Assassins. Collaborating on this project with my peers has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in theatre and is what has led me to pursue a career in directing.
My goal as a director is to bring new creativity to the material as well as make it a uniquely theatrical experience.
In building a team of artists I first and foremost look for kindness in an individual's character. Creating theatre can and should challenge those involved, but should also be enjoyable. This environment cannot exist without a team of people who are willing to support one another and care passionately about the work they create.
Most recently I served as the Assistant to the Producing Artistic Director of Cortland Repertory Theatre, Kerby Thompson. I am very proud of the work I accomplished working under his guidance, and will take what I have learned into my future as a director.
